The 1980 Monte Carlo had a mild frontal restyle with quad headlights and amber indicators mounted beneath.
A new drivetrain option was Buick’s tubo 231ci rated at 170 hp. There was a total of 13,839 tubo Monte Carlos.
Other optional engines included 267ci and 305ci versions of the Chevy small-block V8.
The 1980 marked the end of the third-generation Monte Carlos.
