This is the RARE GT-FOUR RC model there were only 1800 units made for the Japanese market.
In production from 1989-1993, Toyota’s second generation GT-Four carried over the same all-wheel drive system and 2.0L 3S-GTE from the prior generation. This time around however, the power was upped from 190 to 222 horsepower. All versions used an air-to-air intercooler, with the exception of the 1991-1992 GT-Four RC, which used a water-to-air intercooler. A viscous coupling differential, or for some models, a Torsen rear differential is available as well. This car saw lots of success on the WRC circuit, as well as making a very good road car as well!
