Almost a Million RX-7’s were produced from 1978 through 2002, making Car and Driver Magazine’s ten best list five times. The RX-7 had three generational changes with a multitude of power plants and advancing technology and they were all built as a sports cars. The first generation built from 1978 through 1985 has gained cult status among car enthusiasts. The RX7 had nearly a 50/50 weight ratio and weighed under 2,500 lbs, it could reach speeds of 120 MPH and a 0-60 time in under 10 seconds. This was all achieved by using only a 1146 CC rotary engine configuration. This particular stunning example is finished in Mayan Gold and is a excellent example of a time capsule. This RX7 still retains its “A” Title from the current seller who bought the car brand new. It has traveled just under 82,000 miles from new and is in excellent shape. The car was undercoated at the dealer when purchased and never driven in the snow. The owner states that several years ago the paint was cracking on the front and rear bumpers so he had them re-sprayed, but other than that it is all original. Everything is in working order and the car runs and drives fantastic. The car comes with original window sticker, owners manual, warranty information, spare keys and a full service records and receipts from new. This is a incredible find.
