Just out of a private collection, GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1964 Chevrolet Corvette for consideration. The car has sports an older restoration that still shows excellent and finished in Tuxedo Black over black interior. It is powered by a rebuilt 327 V8 engine and 4 speed manual transmission. Owner states that the car was originally a 365 hp car. Features include: factory fiberglass with all bonding strips in place, full ignition shielding, teak steering wheel, power steering, 160 mph speedometer, 7000 rpm tachometer, working clock, correct hose clamps, correct aluminum intake, correct Holley 4 dual feed 4 barrel carb, correct aluminum expansion tank, Harrison radiator, AM/FM radio, knock off wheels with knock off tool and hammer. etc.
Cosmetically, this Corvette stands tall in its Tuxedo Black paint over Black interior. The interior retains some originality and is excellent in all areas, the exterior paint, although not fresh, shows awesome as well and features clean chrome and excellent bright accents.
Mechanically, this Corvette is a very spirited driver and is an excellent example of early small block horsepower as it pulls strong in all gears, power steering ensures good drivability, the transmission features a short throw and shifts smoothly, and the brakes stop evenly.
2nd Generations Corvettes continue to capture the hearts of automotive enthusiasts and collectors alike. They represent Corvettes sweet spot in classic styling and performance. The higher performance 327 chevy V8’s of the 1960’s are still considered by many as the best all around motor Chevrolet produced for the corvette. These cars remain globally sought after and will always remain in demand. No wrong decision here.
